The brewery ‘Mori no Kura’ was founded in 1898 and located in the Chikugo region in the Fukuoka Prefecture. Mori no Kura sake is brewed with only using rice grown locally by farmers via direct contract and clear, soft water that flows up from the ground beneath our brewery.
The main brand names are “Mori no Kura,” with the traditional softer flavors of the brewery is known for, and “Komagura,” made with an intention to have it go well with the wide range of food available in this modern times. They intend to continue improving the quality of the sake that adapts to both your food and your body!
They brewed this amazing umami and refreshing plum sake with on the basis of 100% Junmai sake, local top-class Nankō plums, and red shiso leafs. The sweetness of the plums is balanced by the refreshing aroma of the shiso, which also contributes to the red colour. Drink ice-cold, either straight or on-the-rocks.
