Product details

MASUMI was established in 1662. Located in Shinshu Suwa, where water is cool and clear, and weather is also cool, the brewery has been producing sake that bears the name of the treasure of Suwa Taisha “Masumi no Kagami (Mirror of Masumi).” This brewery not only holds a distinguished award-winning history at sake fairs, but they have made their name for their original superior sake yeast called “Kyokai No. 7” that is used even today among half of the Sake brewers nation-wide in Japan.

Innovative sake retains the character of a well-balanced junmai ginjo at a softer 12% alcohol. Fruit blend fragrance, light mouth-feel with rounded plum accents building from cup to cup. A great lunchtime sake. This lighter type of sake with about the same alcohol content as white wine is something that people would be comfortable enjoying even during lunchtime.

Yawaraka type-1 is the answer, and indeed this new style of sake is becoming more popular every day.
